hit - A connection made via the internet to another website. Generally has no relevance to how many visitors or pages viewed for a website.
home page - A document intended to serve as a starting point in a hypertext system, especially the World Wide Web.
host - The main computer in a system of computers or terminals connectd by communications links.
HTML - An abbreviation for HyperText Markup Language, the markup language used for documents on the World Wide Web.
HTTP - An abbreviation for HyperText Transfer Protocol, the client/server protocol used to access information on the Web.
hyperlink - A connection between an element in a hypertext document, such as a word, phrase, symbol, or image, and a different element in the document, another hypertext document, a file or a script.
