Website Development
Websites can be as simple as a one page online brochure and as complex as a network of sites with full database integration and e-commerce. From a high level view there are 3 classes of websites: |
| 1. Static - |
This is the most basic type of website. It is written in standard HTML there is no database integration. Nothing changes on the site unless a programmer changes the source code. Often referred to as an "online brochure". Static sites usually don't contain a huge amount of data because it is hard to manage.
Examples of our work:
Nathan Ward Photography
River Suites Luxury Cabins
Wilderness Adventures
|
| 2. Database Driven - |
This is a more complex website. We develop in ColdFusion & PHP. The website is integrated with a database so that pages can be generated dynamically. These sites can become very large and the content is usually managed using a password protected graphical interface. This control panel let's a non programmer manage the content on the website. Example applications are a chatboard/forum, a product catalog, a registration page, electronic postcard system, faq's, banner ad system, etc...
Examples of our work:
Etched In Stone
Chaffee County Visitors Bureau
Smoky Mountain Outfitters
|
| 3. E-commerce - |
This is the most complex type of website. It requires database integration and a credit card merchant account. An e-commerce website allows the website owner to display products in a catalog and to securely complete a purchase transaction online 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Examples of our work:
Norton Comfort Shoes Online Store
AllAboutRivers Online Kayak Store
Alder Creek Online Kayak Store
Gillroys Hardware Online Store
Hometown Hardware Online Store
Angelina Organic Skincare Online Store
